    The chase...

is on. So let it begin.

"I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, to live so sturdily and Spartan-like as to put to rout all that was not life, to cut a broad swath and shave close, to drive life into a corner, and reduce it to its lowest terms, and, if it proved to be mean, why then to get the whole and genuine meanness of it, and publish its meanness to the world; or if it were sublime, to know it by experience, and be able to give a true account of it in my next excursion. For most men, it appears to me, are in a strange uncertainty about it, whether it is of the devil or of God, and have somewhat hastily concluded that it is the chief end of man here to "glorify God and enjoy him forever."

  • like oil poured into water

It's the kind of water that can drown you from the inside out. I find myself searching for the oil in the murkiness and my footing on such high shoulders.

Axioms in philosophy are not axioms until they are proved upon our pulses: We read fine things but never feel them to the full until we have gone the same steps as the Author. -Keats

Life can only be understood backward, but it must be lived forward. -Kierkegaard. Just like the Dark Side of the Moon.

About Me

  • There are days where I'm right where I'm supposed to be. But mostly I am far away. I'm learning to live the way I should. I'm learning to love the way you would. And today it's been made clear that I've walked so far alone. It's easy to want something more.
